Richard Riley Award
Congratulations to Kay Sellers on winning SCCTE's most prestigious honor, the Richard Riley award. A teacher in Horry County, Kay has spent her career dedicated to the teaching of English language arts and serving as a leader in her school and district. This award recognizes outstanding service to English language arts teachers in South Carolina.
SCCTE Secondary Section High School Teacher of Excellence Award
Congratulations to Leigh Unterspan, winner of SCCTE's Secondary Section High School Teacher of Excellence award. For over a decade, Leigh has taught at Travelers Rest High School in Greenville County and has spent over five years working with other English teachers as a teacher-consultant for the Upstate Writing Project.
SCCTE Leadership Development Award
Congratulations to Renee Rogers, winner of the SCCTE Leadership Development Award. Renee serves as department chair at Union County High School and also works with other English teachers as a teacher-consultant for the Upstate Writing Project.
