My favorite thing about the SCCTE conference is teachers sharing practical strategies and ideas that are relevant to SC students, ones I can immediately apply in the classroom. — Allison Blizzard & Victoria Foxx from Riverside Middle School in Greer, SC

I present because there are just enough personal classroom successes as well as educational opportunities out there that have improved my teaching practices over the years. There is no need to teach in isolation, even if you are the only person in the building teaching a particular course. Conferences bring folks together who may bridge the gap between their content and yours, between their student population and yours, between their teaching philosophies and yours—all to participate in the idea-sharing and idea-generating processes. The more passionate and dedicated we are to our craft, the more our students (and possibly others' students) will benefit.
-- Cynthia Lehr, Socastee High School,
